Badam/Almonds – 20 (unsalted)
Whole milk -1.5cups
Evaporated milk – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 2 tablespoons /condensed milk – 1 tablespoon
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Kesar/saffron – few strands
Soak almonds in hot water for 1 hour.Peal off the skin and grind almonds to a smooth paste with little milk.Mix whole mil and evaporated milk and boil .To this add the almond paste and sugar/condensed milk stir well.Cook this on low heat till the milk thickens and reduces its quantity.Add cardamom powder.Soak saffron strands in 1 tablespoon of warm milk and add this to the badam milk. Garnish with chopped almonds.Serve cold.
Note – If you do not prefer using evaporated milk you can substitute it with whole milk.
